Aim: We aim to provide a leading opportunity to researchers, academicians, and professionals from different background areas to exchange the latest research ideas and research and development on data science,emerging technologies on machine learning and optimized techniques There are huge amounts of data generated and it contains various types of data. This huge data has evolved as a most challenging field of study and research area. It has drawn much attention during the last few years and influences our modern society business, government, healthcare and research in almost every discipline. Existing approaches to data analysis mainly rely on traditional data mining techniques in which machine learning is explicitly expressed. Machine learning and optimization techniques are delivering a promising solution to the industry for data analysis systems and to make innovation at a rapid pace. This special session is integrating machine learning methods and advanced optimization opportunities to bring efficient data analysis services. Further, machine learning approaches had addressed various challenges of data science such as anomaly detection, multivariate analysis, streaming and visualization of data.

Aim: Materials are so important in the development of civilization that we associate Ages with them. In the origin of human life on Earth, the Stone Age, people used only natural materials, like stone, clay, skins, and wood. Then it was  focussed on the development of new and better materials for the next generation of engineering applications and  viewed the fundamentals of biomaterials, nanomaterials, ceramics, metals, polymers, electronic materials and composites, emphasising the relationships between atomic structure and microstructure as well as the properties, processing and performance of the material. In this new century, sustainability and environmental impact lie at the core of materials development and application. Many of the most pressing scientific problems humans currently face are due to the limits of the materials that are available and how they are used. Thus, breakthroughs in materials science are likely to affect the future of technology significantly. Materials science is also an important part of forensic engineering and failure analysis – investigating materials, products, structures or components which fail or do not function as intended, causing personal injury or damage to property. The aim of this special session is to cover a broad spectrum of materials science & engineering and metallurgy (metal casting, metal joining, metal forming and materials technology). Also, to provide a platform to the researchers  from both academia as well as industry to meet the share in the broad areas of materials processing  such as forming, joining, casting, particulate processing, nanostructured materials, characterisation (X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, thermal analysis, scanning probe microscopy), environmental degradation, surface engineering, and computational materials science.
